Teaching Purposes

develop their knowledge about Rēkohu, the Moriori and their history. be able to identify language features of text types. develop comprehension strategies to identify the main points of a text and to put them in sequential order. to support the students to develop comprehension strategies to make connections, ask questions, and to identify the authors purpose and point of view.
