Teaching Purposes

Kia tautokona ngā ākonga ki te:

  • whakawhānui i ō rātou mōhiotanga mō ngā tini āhuatanga o ngā Moriori, me Rēkohu hoki.

To support students to:

  • develop their knowledge about Rēkohu, the Moriori and their history.
  • be able to identify language features of text types.
  • develop comprehension strategies to identify the main points of a text and to put them in sequential order.
  • to support the students to develop comprehension strategies to make connections, ask questions, and to identify the authors purpose and point of view.
