Hei whakaihiihi
- Compare different styles and designs of the t-shirts that the students are wearing.
- Introduce the techniques of dyeing, screen printing, and appliqué.
- Look at different examples of sewing and making patterns: such as using a needle, tāniko, and raranga.
- Demonstrate with a sewing machine how to: thread a machine, and two basic stitches – straight and zigzag.
- Discuss making your own clothes, and find out if any of the students have tried this.
