Summary
This chapter returns to Hawaiki, to the ancestor Whakatauihu. He was renowned for his skill in flying manu tukutuku. When Tūhuruhuru, the son of Hineteiwaiwa died she sought Whakatauihu to assist her in avenging her son’s death.
